In its initial appearance, Beerus was one of the most entertaining Dragon Ballon characters of all time. He was hilarious, charismatic, philosophically insightful, and he was a rare example for the series of a character being an antagonist, without really being a villain. Beerus was the first god of the franchise to really feel like one and, with its introduction, the scope of the world has become greater than ever.
Beerus changed Dragon Ballon For always, when he made his debut, but he left the Savior of the franchise to his greatest weakness. It is no longer funny, charming or wise, or even relevant for the stories told, but just a constantly evolving objective for the power that Goku and Vegeta are never allowed to overcome, whatever the little sense that it makes. Throughout Dragon Ball SuperBeerus has not grown or changed, he undermines the threat in most arcs because of being infinitely stronger than any villain, and the ideas presented early in the idea of the corruption of the divine hierarchy have been abandoned for a long time.
Beerus in Battle of Gods is one of Akira Toriyama’s greatest creations
Beerus has widened the world of Dragon Ball more than any character before him
According to standards to be a Dragon Ball Z movie, Battle of the gods is absolutely phenomenal. The first Dragon Ballon Film to feel like a film, he tells a simple but pleasant story about the sense of strength. Battle of the gods is filled with moments of charming character and classic humor of Toriyama, its animation, its partition and its atmosphere represented the peak of what the Dragon Ballon had to offer at the time, and the final battle remains one of the best fights in the franchise. More importantly, however, Battle of the gods introduced Beerus.
The god of the destruction of the universe 7, Beerus started both as a full -fledged phenomenal character and the gateway to countless potential stories. Like past gods Dragon BallonBeerus is not necessarily what we could expect, to be a lazy and gourmet cat man who is happy to party and to dance with the Dragon team. But, unlike the previous gods of the franchise, Beerus is fully able to transform into a serious mortal threat in an instant, unscrupulous to achieve its goal in the life of a destructive. Like all the best Dragon Ballon Characters, Beerus is presented as being perfectly prepared for comedy, drama and action, and his simple interest in awakening and the fight against the super Saiyan god is a more original conflict than all traditional villain could have offered.

10 Dragon Bal Z Dragon Z characters not designed
The stories in which they play may not be canon, but these Dragon Ball Z characters seem at least to belong to the series.
Alongside Beerus, the fans were presented at his registration at the angel, Whis. Whis is fantastic in its own right, being suffocating, passive and mature, except when the food is involved. Whis clearly indicates that even if Goku is able to exceed Beerus, there will always be higher levels to reach. The dynamics of Beerus and Whis is hysterical, as well as their very different interactions with the Z-Fighters, but the two fulfill a more important function together than to offer humor.
While once Dragon Ballon was simply confined to a single universe, give or take some alternative chronologies, Beerus and Whis reveal that there are twelve universes, each with his own god of destruction and the angel, and each with fighters as strong as Gohan, Goku and Vegeta. The heroes who were considered to be the strongest existing being after defeating Kid Buu prove to be just big fish in a small pond, and while Battle of the gods was not intended to be the launch point for more Dragon BallonThis revelation was always going to alleviate the fans and make them want to see the multiverse. And, with how many people liked Beerus, everyone wanted him to stay at the heart of these future stories.
Beerus has become the shadow of his old self in Dragon Ball Super
There is no longer any interest regarding the god of the destruction of universes 7
The fall of Beerus began as soon as his second appearance. Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ was a drop in Battle of the gods is almost in all directions, and the chief among his litany of problems was his atrocious poor management of Beerus. Beerus himself was always well written at this stage, but the story had nothing to do with him. Consequently, he is simply confusing of what he is doing here, and his presence during the fight between Goku and Frieza aspires all tension, because it is obvious that Beerus could kill Frieza in an instant, and would do it if he thought that the planet that made his favorite food was in fact in danger.
Despite the first arc of Dragon Ball Super be a summary of Battle of the godsThis is where Beerus has really become a big problem. Dbs Changed a certain number of things in the film, all worse, and that made the misstep of the representation of Beerus as a more traditionally nasty figure. It created two problems: it made Beerus much less interesting in the future, and it raised the question of why Goku, Vegeta and the others palm with him, when he was not different in the practice of any other destructive monster of the planet they had fought in the past.

10 huge improvements The anime Dragon Ball brought to the manga of Akira Toriyama
Akira Toriyama deserves each praise he receives for the Dragon Ball manga, but we cannot deny that the anime has improved on his work.
Throughout the rest of the Dragon Ball Super Anime, Beerus had many ups and downs. His racing gags were tired by the saga of the universe 6, and his volatile relationship with Champa did not do much to compensate for this. Beerus continued to be described as a flowering character that he started, and he rarely gave the chance to do anything.
At the same time, the few moments that Beerus was given to shine was incredible, and he was strongly involved in the plots of the universe 6, future trunks and the survival sagas of the universe. These plots all revolved around the multiverse and the cosmic hierarchy and, at the time, had the impression of being built with an exciting conflict between mortals and their gods. Dragon Ballon Great Had the chance to continue on the way, he was already going to restore Beerus to his old grandeur by finding him in the role of an antagonist, but it is far from what the manga chose to do with him.
Beerus’s presence actively makes Dragon Ball Super Worse
Beerus is nothing more than a constantly evolving objective position for Goku
If Beerus had simply become a weak character after his moment under the spotlight, he would not be different from a dozen other other big Dragon Ballon Stars. Instead, he has become one of the Dragon Ball SuperThe most important characters, appearing in each bow, despite himself, almost never doing anything, and having more and more little personality. And, when Beerus personally does something, it is almost always for the same reason: to tell fans that he is always stronger than Goku and Vegeta.
Beerus has become less a character and more a constantly evolving goal after Goku and Vegeta are not allowed to reach. No matter how much the Saiyans become more powerful, Beerus will always present themselves to return them to dirt. Fans are denied the satisfaction of seeing Goku go beyond each of his masters that Dragon Ballon And Dragon Ball Z Offered, and it also guarantees that the problem of the resurrection “F” permeates. The conflicts of the saga of the prisoner of the galactic patrol, of the surviving saga of Granolah, and Dragon Ball Super: Brolynone of which has nothing to do with the gods of the themes previously established around them, could all have been easily resolved by Beerus. The manga even underestimated his next arc before he even started by revealing that, even with Black Frieza strong enough to defeat Goku and Vegeta in an instant, he is always weaker than Beerus.
These problems with Beerus date back to the survival saga of the universe. In the anime, Beerus was presented as simply one of the twelve gods of destruction, and it was hinted that Goku exceeded it when he obtained an ultra instinct. In the manga, however, Beerus turns out to be by far the god of the strongest destruction, something that alone makes the world feel smaller and even much stronger than Goku. The Granolah arc then felt the need for ultra ego retcon in existence, just to justify the lack of ultra instinct from Beerus and help understand this. It is difficult to feel as a growth in Goku’s growth when, whatever he does, he will always find himself pounded again in dirt by Beerus.

Goku’s strongest attack in Dragon Ball Super actually makes no sense
Goku learns many movements through Dragon Ball, but his use of Hakai in Dragon Ball Super makes no sense for several reasons.
Beerus’s strength did not need to become such a big problem, but since the series abandoned stories told about the gods and the idea of a breaking of divine beings in favor of random stories without cohesion between them, the problems with Beerus continued to fresh and repeat again and again. There have now been so many times when it seemed that Beerus had been exceeded, only to make it far from the truth, that there is no longer any way to win Goku’s inevitable victory over him. And, with how many other Beerus has for him at this stage, it means that he has nothing positive to bring to the manga.
If Dragon Ball Super Completed right now, Beerus would not be known as the character who has revitalized the franchise, but as a representative of many problems in the series. The only way for that to change is that Beerus is again written with importance, charisma and meaning, and starting to be a character as opposed to a wall for the heroes. Whether it’s Goku, Vegeta or Frieza, it seems that the only way it will happen is if someone is able to go beyond it and challenge the gods.
