A big update has been revealed for the next Star Wars movie with Daisy Ridley. Led by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the project has officially landed a new writer.
By The Hollywood ReporterGeorge Nolfi boarded the film, which was reportedly titled Star Wars: New Jedi Order. Nolfi is best known for his work on other major franchise films, like The Bourne Ultimatum And Ocean 12. The film was initially put into development with Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson writing, but both ended up exiting the project. Peaky Blinders Creator Steven Knight would later come on board to write the script, but it was reported in October 2024 that he was no longer involved. Hiring Nolfi puts the project back on track, although it still doesn’t have an official release date yet.
