Amazon will kick off the year with a new crime drama TV show on Prime Video. On callan eight-episode series produced by Dick Wolf, is set to debut on the streaming platform on January 9, 2025.
Before the premiere of On call Next month the official trailer was released by Amazon. It features the cast, led by Troian Bellisario – known for his role as Spencer in pretty Little Liars – next to The good doctor actor Brandon Larracuente. Full house And Fuller house Star Lori Loughlin also stars as a police officer with Eriq La Salle (EAST, Logan, Coming to America) also playing a supporting role. Described as an “adrenalized and visceral crime drama”, the series aims to add some realism to the format by incorporating a mix of body cameras, dash cams and cell phone footage, creating what is called a “cinema effect truth “. The story is also teased to explore the “morality of protecting and serving a community.”
Call Characters Plot Details Revealed
Troian Bellisario plays Officer Traci Harmon, “a twelve-year seasoned veteran and trained officer with a strong moral compass that has defined her approach to policing, even if it puts her at odds with the new law enforcement policies.” Alex Diaz de Larracuente is “an ambitious rookie struggling to maintain his optimism as he realizes the challenges he will face in the current climate.” Loughlin plays Lieutenant Bishop and La Salle plays Sergeant Lasman. Actor Rich Ting (King of Tulsa) is also featured as Sergeant Koyama.

In addition to appearing in the series, La Salle directed several episodes. The actor, who also served as an EP producer and director on Chicago Policeis executive producer on On call Also. The eagle-eyed fans of A Chicago the franchise may have also spotted a connection in the trailer for On call. As seen in the trailer, Monica Raymund can also be seen as part of the cast. Details about her role in this series are not yet clear, although fans might recognize her from playing Gabriela Dawson in Chicago Fire before ending her participation in the series with season 6. Raymund continued to make appearances in this series, however, and it remains to be seen to what extent she will be seen in On call.
On call will debut on Prime Video with all eight episodes releasing simultaneously on January 9, 2025.
