Dragon Ball GT fights where Goku should have used his electric pole

Dragon Ball has undergone a rich evolution since its creation, but Dragon Ball GT remains one of the franchise’s most controversial entries and a polarizing medium that has only recently begun to be re-evaluated. Developed as an anime-only sequel that continues Dragon Ball Zadventure, fans were initially discouraged by Dragon Ball GTThe more playful tone of Dragon Ball GT from the start. Dragon Ball GT It takes a while to find its footing, but it eventually hits a comfortable, confident pace that serves as a satisfying continuation of the franchise.

Interestingly, many comparisons have been made between Dragon Ball GT And Dragon Ball DAIMA – the latest entry in the franchise – both of which feature a version of Goku who was magically transformed into a child by the Dragon Balls. Dragon Ball DAIMA seems to be more successful with fans and there is a comforting nostalgia surrounding the return of the classic Dragon Ball iconography, like Goku’s Power Pole. Goku’s Power Pole curiously makes an appearance in one of the Dragon Ball GT‘s final scenes, but is otherwise absent from the anime. Its popularity in Dragon Ball DAIMA wonders if this would have been a useful addition in Dragon Ball GT and how it could have helped Goku in some of the anime’s biggest battles.

Everything We Know About Goku’s Electric Pole and Why It’s Important to Dragon Ball Daima

The Power Pole was Goku’s iconic main weapon in the beginning of Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Daima has answered fans’ calls for it to return.

10 Ledgic is proficient with weapons and is a natural opponent

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 5, “Goku vs. Ledgic”

Ledgic, Don Kee’s personal bodyguard on the planet Imecka, is one of Dragon Ball GTthe first memorable characters of. It’s unfortunate that Ledgic’s potential character arc is cut short and he is never seen again after Goku’s trip to Imecka. Nevertheless, Ledgic causes Goku’s first Super Saiyan transformation in Dragon Ball GT and proves to be a worthy adversary during Dragon Ball GTThe Black Star Dragon Ball introductory saga.

Ledgic is physically intimidating and has impressive ki skills. However, he also uses a long spear and dual swords during his fight against Goku. Goku skillfully avoids these weapon strikes, but the battle would be even more exciting if he was able to respond in kind with his Power Pole. Dragon Ball GT lack of memorable weapon-based battles and Goku’s showdown against Ledgic is the most logical opportunity to dabble in that area. Ledgic is perpetually fascinated and amazed by Goku and his use of the Power Pole would trigger an even greater respect in him.

9 The Para Para brothers cross the line between ferocity and farce

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 10, “Dance and Attack”

The Para Para Brothers pose in Dragon Ball GT.

Dragon Ball GT is rich in gag comedy silliness during Goku, Pan and Trunks’ pursuit of Black Star Dragon Ball. Some of the strangest enemies they encounter are the Para Para brothers – Bon Para, Don Para and Son Para – who are devoted followers of Lord Luud. The Para Para Brothers lack physical strength and dangerous energy attacks, but their Para Para Boogie maneuver is an intense form of hypnosis that forces its targets to imitate the Para Para Brothers’ dance moves. Goku, Pan, and Trunks are temporarily immobilized when they fall prey to Para Para Boogie’s powers.

This could have become a good opportunity to use the Power Pole to resolve this issue, rather than the convenient chaos that ends their attack prematurely. Goku may be put through an embarrassing dance routine, but his Power Pole should still be a functional weapon that could lay down and injure the Para Para Brothers while Goku is still lost in the hypnotic music. The heroes defeat the Para Para Brothers with a single punch, so it’s not hard to imagine that a good hit from the Power Pole would be enough to incapacitate them as well.

Dragon Ball DAIMA explained what happened to Goku’s Power Pole after starting Dragon Ball Z.

8 Mutchy is a monstrous mutant machine with magical whips at his disposal

Dragon Ball GT, episode 12, “Luud’s Last Oracle”

Mutchy attacks Goku and Trunks with his whip arms in Dragon Ball GT.

Dragon Ball GT Unleashes many Machine Mutant surprises once the heroes enter the belly of the beast on the planet Luud. Lord Luud is rich in devoted followers, leading to many brief altercations against single enemies. Goku confronts Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, who attacks with a whip, only for that whip to transform into an even stronger machine mutant – Mutchy. Mutchy is a terrifying adversary who wields whips as weapons that prove incredibly durable in combat.

Mutchy’s whips can electrify targets, steal energy, and even bring inanimate objects to life. This is a particularly creative, albeit short, fight with Goku that the Power Pole could make even more interesting. Mutchy’s whips are dangerous hazards that would suddenly be much more manageable if attacked by the Power Pole. This fight could also rely even more on the inanimate object angle and allow Goku to take out hordes of magically animate objects thanks to the versatility and long-range reach of the Power Pole.

7 Sigma Force’s Bizu exposes Goku and Trunks to the evil of machine mutants

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 16, “Giru’s Checkered Past”

Bizu from Sigma Force materializes around Goku and Trunks in Dragon Ball GT.

Goku and company face an abundance of machine mutants during Dragon Ball GTThe first episodes of and Bizu is one of the most unforgettable encounters. Bizu, along with Natt, Ribet, and Commander Nezi, make up Force Sigma, which carries out some of General Rilldo’s most arduous missions. As individuals, these auxiliary Machine Mutants aren’t particularly impressive, but they are capable of combining and forming the superior Super Mega Cannon Sigma.

Goku dismantles most of the Sigma Force and Bizu provides some additional frustration due to his ability to liquefy and rebuild his body around targets in order to restrain them and ensure their capture, which is exactly what happens to Goku and Trunks. It would be interesting to see Goku face Bizu, while in this incapacitated state, and use his Power Pole to overcome this setback. Goku still has access to his arms after being “absorbed” by Bizu, so the Power Pole would still be in play. He could easily extend his weapon so that Bizu hits a wall and is destroyed. Any additional details like this would improve what would otherwise be a rather lackluster battle.

6 General Rilldo ends up arming an entire planet against Goku

Dragon Ball GT, Episodes 19, 20, and 21, “A General Uprising,” “The Source of Rilldo’s Power,” and “A Secret Revealed”

There is no shortage of machine mutants in Dragon Ball GT. However, General Rilldo is one of the most powerful machine mutants in the anime and the heroes’ battle against him ultimately culminates when the planet itself fights against them. General Rilldo is powerful in his base form, but he undergoes powerful transformations into Hyper Meta Rilldo and Meta-Rilldo, the latter being a Terminator-like liquid metal warrior who can combine with any surrounding metal and l ‘use to create duplicates of itself. . This leads to an army of Rilldo appearing and confronting Goku before Rilldo merges with Planet M-2 and uses this “Planet of Metal” strategy to eliminate the heroes.

Additionally, Rilldo’s Metal Breath can turn his targets into metal. All of this facilitates a fighting style where the smartest strategy is to keep an appropriate distance, which is possible thanks to Goku’s Power Pole. General Rilldo’s Shooting Knuckle attack would even give Goku and his Power Pole the opportunity to replicate a memorable moment from his battle against Red Ribbon’s Major Metallitron where he destroys the robot’s projectile fist. There is so much at stake during this fight and using the Power Pole would just give Goku a better advantage.

5 Haze Shenron is the weakest shadow dragon with a fight ripe for innovation

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 49, “The Two-Star Dragon”

Haze Shenron uses his poison in Dragon Ball GT.

Dragon Ball GT explores the compelling concept of the seven evil shadow dragons, who become a perpetual threat throughout the anime’s final story arc. Most Shadow Dragon fights include a Super Saiyan 4-powered climax, but Haze Shenron is an exception to this formula that instead relies on Giru’s unique Machine Mutant biology. Haze Shenron had a poisonmancy skill where he pollutes the air with toxins that render Goku and Pan helpless. Giru is unaffected by this toxic mess, which becomes the key to their success. It’s not a bad idea to give Giru more work and make him an active player in combat.

However, Goku’s Power Pole would also be very useful in this unique situation against the weaker Shadow Dragon. Goku is very vulnerable when exposed to Haze Shenron’s poison, but he would still be able to use the Power Pole and connect with his target. Random rubble seems to harm Haze Shenron, so it stands to reason that the Power Pole would trigger even greater results.

4 Frieza and Cell form a terrifying team to face Goku in Hell

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 43, “The Resurrection of Cell and Frieza”

Frieza and Cell use their Hell's Buster attack on Goku in Dragon Ball GT.

Goku has his work cut out for him when Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu open a rift between Hell and Earth that triggers the creation of Super 17. There is a momentary interlude where Goku heads to Hell, only to be lured and deceived by Cell and Frieza. These two former villains teamed up and pooled their talents to outwit Goku and banish him to the deepest levels of Hell with their Hell’s Buster attack. Goku eventually gains the upper hand and completely humiliates these villains with the help of Hell Enma’s Terrible Torture Tour.

Goku only fights Frieza and Cell because they have the element of surprise. However, it would still be quite cathartic to see Goku take on two of the Dragon Ball Zthe biggest villains with his iconic weapon from the original Dragon Ball. This would provide a satisfying juxtaposition of Dragon BallIt’s the past and the present. Frieza would be humiliated to be defeated by a simple weapon and it would be fun to see what the Power Pole is capable of doing in a limitless destination like Hell.

3 Naturon Shenron absorbs Pan and forces Goku to make a terrible decision

Dragon Ball GT, Episode 53, “Saying Goodbye”

Pan asks for help while stuck inside Naturon Shenron in Dragon Ball GT.

Naturon Shenron is another curious ghost dragon that often appears as a joke rather than a cause of calamity. Naturon Shenron’s power comes from his ability to absorb, which eventually takes over Pan. Goku easily dominates Naturon Shenron, but the real obstacle is how to defeat this villain without killing Pan in the process. Pan even urges Goku to eliminate him for the greater good, but he is desperate for an alternative.

Goku is able to trick Naturon Shenron and take Pan out of this creature, which seems a bit convenient. A smarter solution would be to sneakily involve the Power Pole and use it to save Pan. Goku could trick Naturon Shenron into thinking he’s using the Power Pole to attack, when it’s actually a lifeline that Pan can cling to and escape this mess.

2 Super 17’s Annoying Energy-Absorbing Powers Make Electric Pole an Asset

Dragon Ball GT, Episodes 46 and 47, “Raising The Stakes” and “The Biggest Surprise”

Super 17 unleashes machine gun fire on Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT.

Android 17 was one of Dragon Ball Z‘s most popular characters and he’s recently seen an exciting glow in Dragon Ball Super. However, Dragon Ball GTSuper 17 is a polarizing villain who profits from diminishing returns and meaningless nostalgia. Super 17 is powerful, but he is capable of gaining strength comparable to that of Super Saiyan 4 Goku when he happily absorbs his energy attacks and channels them into frightening power increases.

It takes Goku a little too long to realize this advantage, but it soon becomes clear to him that any energy attack becomes just another opportunity for Super 17 to become stronger. This makes coordinated use of the Power Pole particularly useful against this villain. Goku would excel due to the Power Pole’s ability to hurt Super 17 from a distance and prevent him from absorbing anything. Goku eventually defeats Super 17 with the help of Android 18. However, he would potentially be able to defeat Super 17 on his own thanks to the weapon’s unique advantages.

1 Nuova Shenron emits heat hotter than the sun and impossible to touch

Dragon Ball GT, episodes 54 and 56, “The Four-Star Dragon” and “The Three-Star Dragon”

Nuova Shenron is one of Dragon Ball GTis one of the most endearing villains because he’s a shadow dragon who actually has a sense of honor. Nuova Shenron is driven by the desire for a fair fight rather than an easy victory. Nuova Shenron possesses prolific fire powers and is featured with a high temperature shell hotter than the sun. Goku cannot rely on physical attacks while Nuova Shenron is in this state and he thankfully loses the advantage of high temperatures when he sheds his outer shell and attains his stronger form.

Goku would have a few more options when it comes to combat if he had his Power Pole to defend against Nuova Shenron’s explosive temperature. This is a viable way to attack without getting burned and could have led to a quicker victory before Nuova Shenron could transform. Goku could pin him with the Power Pole, then destroy the helpless target.
