Actor Zachary Quinto May Be Focusing on His New NBC Medical Drama Brilliant minds, currently, but part of him hopes he will do it again reprise the role of Spock in another Star Trek movie. Quinto played the half-Vulcan, half-human science officer in three Kelvin Timeline films from 2009 to 2016. He said Variety he would love to play this iconic character again.
“The good thing is Star Trek is a universe without limits” said Quinto. “Look at all the TV shows, look at all the stories, look at all the characters and all the timelines. Anything is possible. That’s the joy of franchising.” That’s why it’s been going on for 55, 60 years. I’m open to that idea. I’d love that. I’d love that. The original Star Trek The series premiered 58 years ago, on September 8, 1966, and ran for three seasons.
Quinto added that he would play the character no matter where or when. “There is no limit. The original actors were in films for decades, into their 50s and 60s. The stories might be different. We might not run as fast on other planets., but I think everything is possibleand I think there’s nothing more fulfilling as an artist than coming back to something after time has passed and cultivating a relationship from a completely different perspective and a completely new point of view,” he said.
Will there be a fourth Star Trek movie?
It remains to be seen whether a fourth Kelvin timeline Star Trek The film will one day be made, with production having been on hold for several years.Earlier this year, Chris Pine, who played Captain James T. Kirk in the first three filmsspoke about why the film series seemingly ended, saying it was because the films were aimed at the wrong audience.
“I think what we found is that we captured an audience with the Hiking universe that may not have come to us, but in general, they are the diehards“, he said.I think we should make movies that appeal to people who want to see the movie. I’m tired of trying to please people who don’t want to see what we’re doing..”

Pine went on to say that he thought it would be better to go in a different direction if a Star Trek 4 never saw the light of day. “I think we should just make a much smaller movie, more story-driven, more character-driven, where there’s less shit exploding, and maybe do it that way,” “You also have to shoot on film, not digitally,” he added.
Last year, Quinto spoke about why Star Trek 4 “I think there are a lot of other things, creative things. It’s complicated,” he said. “The fact that something good is done is something of a miracle. I think it comes down to different people having different goals and ideas about what it’s going to be. And I don’t know if it’s going to happen and when… And if everything goes well and we come back and we’re able to do it, it’ll be wonderful. If not, we had a great race,” he said.
In Quinto’s latest project, he plays the role of neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf in Brilliant minds, which recently premiered on NBC and Peacock. In the series, inspired by the late neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks, Quinto’s character specializes in treating patients with rare mental illnesses. Susan Bay Nimoy, the widow of Leonard Nimoywho created Spock in 1966 Star Trek series, will guest star in an episode of the series this season as an “80-year-old nymphomaniac.”
