One thing Transformers 1 Director Josh Cooley is already planning a sequel. It’s understandable, since Robots in Disguise is a beloved property. Since the 1980s, fans have been buying the toys and watching the cartoons and live-action movies. Of course, they wanted more depth than Michael Bay’s films, which is what movies like Bumblebee acted as a course correction.
Paramount Pictures is doing things differently this time around by making a fresh start. Transformers 1 is an origin story for Optimus Prime and Megatron, introducing them as brothers in arms before leading their respective factions. As such, fans who have yet to see the film would be curious to know if there are any mid-credits or post-credits sequences to tease the expansion of the franchise.

Once the credits start rolling for Transformers 1. There is a mid-credits sequence that focuses on Keegan-Michael Key as B-127He is not called Bumblebee in the film, as he prefers “Badassatron”. After his Energon and Cog upgrade, he has new toys in his arsenal. This scene shows him returning to his old friends on Sublevel 50, where he previously worked disposing of metal and waste. Unfortunately, his blades are not working properly and he still does not understand his new powers.
B-127 accidentally damages the robots he considers his friends, Steve and AA Tron. This gag scene provides a brief moment of comedic relief and shows how B-127 just hasn’t been able to master his changes. He loves his mask, but he’s also learning to be a car. It’s clear that he’s not as confident with his toys. Nevertheless, he’s on his way to becoming the lovable yellow robot in disguise. All he has to do is stop being so clumsy.
Key shines with his wit, humor, and affable energy that fuels the transition that Bee will make in due course. It reinforces how much this new film is about fun, jokes, and not necessarily the gross, overbearing humor of Bay’s films. It’s a very family-friendly film. It reinforces the fact that B-127 is the silly kid of the group. Once again, he’s a big part of the heart and soul of the story.
Transformers One also has a post-credits scene
Transformers One christens Megatron and the Decepticons
There is also an additional scene after the credits that deals with Brian Tyree Henry’s D-16. He and his followers were banished to the outskirts of Cybertron. After Sentinel Prime branded him with Megatronus Prime’s seal, D-16 officially carved Megatronus’ face into his metal shell. He stole Megatronus’ cog from the dead Sentinel and implanted it into his body. He confirmed his new name as Megatron, in honor of the war hero who fought the Quintessons.
Megatron will declare war on Orion Pax, played by Chris Hemsworth. His former colleague is now called Optimus Prime and leads a movement of free thinkers called the Autobots.. Megatron reinforces that he hates the deception Sentinel has planted. Sentinel has deceived the citizens into turning them into slaves, all so he can transport energy to the enemy and be allowed to rule Cybertron. Megatron believes that Optimus is doing the same thing: he is diluting the citizens and making them weak.
In his eyes, they must be fierce and iron-fisted warriors so that they will never be exploited or deceived again. He specifies that their new legion will be called the Decepticons. It is a mark of trust in the right people, while ensuring that they do not forget the past. Optimus did not want Sentinel killed, but the High Guard (including Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave) wanted revenge as they fought the Primes that Sentinel had murdered years ago. Thus, they all become involved in the Decepticon movement and mark themselves to set the stage for a Transformers 1 following.
