MHA: 14 Things That Suggest All For One Is Deku’s Father

As one of the most popular anime, My Hero Academy has sparked the imagination of fans around the world, who have been inspired to create their own spin-offs, cosplay as characters, or even write music. With a series that has such a passionate fan base, it stands to reason that countless conspiracy theories have emerged, including those involving the show’s most mysterious villains.

One of the most notable remains tied to the villain Dabi’s true parentage, as it was correctly speculated that he was Endeavor’s son, Toya Todoroki. But perhaps even more popular is the idea that the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, is the son of the main villain, All for One. While this may seem far-fetched to some fans, especially since Deku’s father is named in the series. However, there are many facts that suggest that All for One may indeed be Deku’s father.

Updated September 10, 2024 by Christy Mathew: While My Hero Academy While the anime remains highly regarded, Deku’s father has yet to make an appearance. As such, fans are still speculating that Deku’s father could be a character in the series and that it is potentially All for One himself. This article has been updated to add more evidence that leans toward the Midoriya parentage theory and has been updated to fit CBR’s current formatting guidelines.

14 All for One Might Have Hisashi Midoriya’s Fire Breath

From the first episode of the anime, viewers learn that Izuku’s mother, Inko Midoriya, is raising him alone. His father, Hisashi Midoriya, works overseas in the United States and, according to Inko, possesses an unnamed Fire Breath Quirk. Not much else is known about the character beyond that. All for One could easily have had a Fire Breath Quirk in his arsenal, which he could have used to trick Inko into thinking he was just an ordinary person.

All for One is known to hold various Quirks in his arsenal. In Chapter 353, All for One used several Quirks with his fingers, one of which could be related to fire, leading to a stronger theory that he could be Deku’s father. If Hisashi is actually All for One, it could create a complicated story about good versus evil within the family dynamic. As the story progresses, this theory could be confirmed or disproven by My Hero Academy.

13 Hisashi’s Mystery Could Lead to Potential Revelations

The unknown presence of Deku’s father could become a future plot point

Young All For One is surrounded by energy beams from Eri's Rewind Quirk.

The mystery surrounding Midoriya’s father Hisashi’s lack of visual cues could be a plot element that will be revealed later in My Hero Academy. Although he is “alive”, Hisashi never appeared, even when his son was accepted into U.A. He attended school and became a professional hero. He never appears in Midoriya’s flashbacks or memories. Izuku’s mother, Inko, raised him alone, leading to speculation as to why his father was not there for him.

My Hero Academia repeatedly focuses on family stories with Shoto Todoroki and Tomura Shigaraki, showcasing their complex family bonds. Hisashi’s mystery could be a side story they want to create between Midoriya’s journey and that of his friends. This theory suggests that Hisashi’s character hidden in the mystery could serve as a potential plot point and could be a turning point for Izuku.

12 Deku’s father’s suspicious timing as all the men could be hurt all for one

Hisashi was transferred to the United States for his work

All for one at rest

Hisashi’s transfer to America is never fully explained. This could easily be due to a multitude of reasons, as it is not out of the question that his father actually abandoned Izuku and Inko due to Izuku’s lack of quirks. However, the theory of Izuku’s connection to All for One would explain this absence differently. Hisashi’s departure could have coincided with All Might’s battle against All for One. He moved away from his family just as the larger war between All for One and All Might became more likely.

During the fight, All Might is seriously injured and loses half of his respiratory organs and his stomach, but All for One is also seriously injured. His injuries are so severe that even his Quirks cannot completely save him. All for One is believed to have been dead for many years and is dependent on a ventilator. The fact that Izuku’s father has been absent throughout the story may not be as simple as a job transfer, and it may be because he is associated with All for One or the villain himself.

11 Izuku’s Quirklessness Might Not Be Natural

Midoriya’s Quirk May Have Been Taken

Midoriya at the doctor with his mother.

The absence of weirdness is very rare in the world of My Hero Academy and only 20% of the population has no Quirks. The complex nature of Quirks and their categories has been explored in depth throughout the series. While it works well as a plot point, one can’t help but wonder if its causes may be different than what viewers originally thought. With a Quirk-extracting villain in the picture, the situation may be more complex. It wouldn’t have been too difficult for All for One to take his son’s Quirk before it could fully manifest, and then pretend that Izuku was Quirkless. throughout.

Izuku might actually have had a powerful Quirk. My Hero Academy In Deku’s universe, if both parents have a Quirk, then the child will naturally have a Quirk as well, which was the case for Deku. Another interesting point is that his doctor was Kyudai Garaki, an associate of All for One, and this could mean that he could have been the one to also take him or judge Deku as Quirkless even though he had one. Alternatively, All for One would have known how Izuku would be treated as a Quirkless child, and he may have taken Izuku’s Quirk to encourage him to become a villain.

Midoriya could have inherited his quirklessness through his parentage.

Additionally, Izuku’s Quirklessness could be inherited from his parents, opening up the theory that All for One is his parent. This is because All for One is a first-generation Quirk user, meaning his parents were Quirkless. This information opens up the theory that All for One’s offspring would have the gene from their Quirkless parents, opening up the theory that Deku would have it as well. Quirks are likely to manifest differently in different generations. My Hero AcademyThe universe of.

Izuku’s lack of a Quirk is proven by an X-ray of his foot, which shows that he has an extra joint in his little toe. This may mean that he was indeed Quirkless, instead of having been stripped of his Quirk like many other characters who lost their Quirks, as the previous theory suggested. However, Quirks are ultimately a matter of genetics. Being a first-generation Quirk user, it would have been very easy for him to pass the gene on to Izuku, much easier than a Quirkless child born to two Quirk-wielding parents.

9 The presence of Doctor Kyudai Garaki as Izuku’s doctor is suspicious.

Garaki is All for One’s right-hand man.

At the beginning of the series, Izuku is diagnosed as Quirkless by Doctor Kyudai. While the character seems unimportant at the time, later developments prove that this may not be the case. All for One’s doctor, Kyudai Garaki, begins to become increasingly important, especially after All for One’s capture. Given that he is closely associated with All for One, he may have an ulterior motive for considering Deku Quirkless. If he misdiagnosed Izuku, this could be a way for him to ensure that he does not gain his abilities.

While it has not been confirmed that the two characters are the same, the similarity is too obvious to be a coincidence. It is highly suspicious that Kyudai Garaki is the one examining Izuku, and his appearance lends even more credence to the idea that All for One stole Izuku’s original Quirk. With Garaki’s help, it would have been easy for All for One to hide the truth. This makes this theory more concrete, as Garaki’s diagnosis could be to help All for One and his plans to prevent his son from gaining the powerful abilities his parents possess. However, the theory that Garaki stole Deku’s Quirk when he was a child appears to be false.

8 The transformation of Izuku’s tyrants into nomu could be proof of this.

Izuku’s Winged Tyrant Might Be the Winged Nomu

Young Bakugo and Tsubasa stand side by side to taunt Midoriya in My Hero Academia.

Doctor Kyudai’s grandson Tsubasa has little to no information about him, other than the theory that he was part of All for One’s plans. He was part of young Katsuki Bakugou’s group of bullies and the theory that he is a Nomu. This wouldn’t be interesting, but it has been more or less stated that Katsuki’s old friend is actually the winged Nomu that attacks Izuku after his confrontation with the Hero Killer Stain.

This may be why the Nomu targeted Izuku in the first place, to harm him and those close to him. Its connection to Kyudai is a stronger argument, as viewers know that Garaki is behind the Nomus’ creation. Given that Katsuki is alive and well, it seems unlikely that All for One would punish a child for bullying his offspring, leading some fans to question whether one can create a good Nomu. Still, the connection is relevant to All for One’s possible connection to Midoriya’s life.

Inko and Nana have similar characteristics

MHA's Nana Shimura smiles

All Might’s mentor, Nana Shimura, remains one of the most important figures in his life, even years after her death. Izuku’s mother Inko may have a connection to her, adding an interesting dimension to the character. All Might trusted her, and her help followed him throughout his hero years. He was devastated when he learned that Nana’s grandson had become the villain, Tomura Shigaraki, corrupted by All for One for his evil purposes and leading Tomura to commit the most ruthless acts of his life. My Hero Academy.

Izuku’s mother, Inko, looks a bit like Nana, and in anime or manga, this usually means that there is a deeper connection than fans realize. It wouldn’t be out of the question that Nana had another parent and that the two are related. If that’s the case, All for One may have married Inko for the same reason he took in Tenko Shimura – to spite All Might. Hypothetically, if All for One were to marry someone related to Shimura, it would mean that he did so to devalue All Might’s legacy.

6 Izuku’s ability to channel One for All is uncanny

My Hero Academia: The Remnants of the One For All Quirk Gather Behind Yoichi

All Might is known to have been gifted with One for All. Having no Quirk, he has used this powerful ability for decades. Given this, one would think that he would be the one to unlock the Quirk’s true potential. And yet, that is not what happens. The remnants of the previous users of One for All – the seven Quirks – only awaken when Izuku inherits them. His unlikely potential to unlock One for All could likely be due to the fact that he is All for One’s son.

Izuku doesn’t seem to have the same natural talent for using One for All as the young Toshinori Yagi. Some might say that he simply inherited the Quirk at the right time, when the time came for him to awaken. But there could be another explanation. Once again, it’s a matter of genetics. Izuku may share DNA with the first two owners of One for All, who are All for One, who originally had it, and his brother, Yoichi Shigaraki. Through this, he might be able to connect to the Quirk in a deeper way than a regular Successor.

5 Izuku’s ability to use other Quirks seamlessly

Both All for One and Midoriya can use multiple Quirks

Izuku Midoriya runs into the flames to save Bakugo from the evil Slime in My Hero Academia.

Midoriya’s One for All is a Quirk that allows people to pass it on to others. Each user grants it a layer of strength as well as abilities. All for One created One for All by forcibly transferring it to his brother, meaning that there is a connection between the two abilities. The current wielder of One for All is Midoriya, and he has already demonstrated his power to activate various other Quirks. His ability to access multiple Quirks gives concrete evidence to the theory that he may be All for One’s child.

All for One can also use multiple Quirks and this may be a genetic influence on Midoriya. Izuku’s ability to use other Quirks without issue may be explained if this theory is true. He has had visions of past One for All users, indicating a spiritual connection, but it also allows him to use their abilities. This information seems more likely to be simple inheritance. His ease of access to abilities indicates that there is a closer connection between Midoriya and One for All than All for One.

4 All For One’s face is never properly shown

Hisashi and All for One’s faces have never been revealed.

Young All For One's Face Is Obscured In My Hero Academia

Throughout the series, All for One’s face is never shown. It is mutilated beyond recognition, and his entire face is a mass of scar tissue, due to his various fights with heroes, especially All Might. Interestingly, even after Izuku begins having visions of his younger self, his face is unclear. It is shrouded in red smoke, with many distinctive features hidden. All for One’s hidden face could be a metaphor for his hidden past, and it is difficult for fans to understand what his emotions are.

Hisashi Midoriya’s face is never shown either. There are no pictures of him in the apartment where Inko and Izuku live. The two facts, put together, make for a rather suspicious picture. There might be a resemblance between Izuku and All for One that is not immediately obvious. In addition to his face, All for One also hides his relationships, which could also involve Izuku. If Hisashi is All for One, this could explain why the two characters have never been seen visually in the anime.

3 Kohei Horikoshi is a big Star Wars fan

Parallels between Luke and Deku are very likely

It’s no secret that series creator Kohei Horikoshi is a huge fan of Star WarsHe even created artwork dedicated to her and generated enthusiasm The Mandalorian on more than one occasion. This is very relevant, because taking the plot of Star Wars Taking this into account, one can see distinct similarities and possible connections to Deku’s parentage. There are several inspirations taken from the hit series, My Hero Academy.

All for One resembles Darth Vader, right down to the mask he wears. At the same time, Izuku’s determination and struggle to become a hero are reminiscent of Luke Skywalker’s journey and his strong sense of justice. Vader was a fallen hero who turned to the dark side, which is similar to All for One, who was a noble figure corrupted by power. All Might could easily be Obi-Wan, with Gran Torino acting as Yoda. This could lead to the ultimate conclusion and big reveal: Izuku will eventually have to face All for One and learn that the villain is his father, just like Luke did.

2 All this for someone’s hesitation to hurt Midoriya

He hesitates to hurt Izuku and his friends

all for one raise your hand with a hole in your palm in my hero academia

This theory might be the closest thing to proving that All for One is related to Midoriya. All for One has repeatedly shown hesitation to attack Deku, even when he could easily do so. For example, in the Kamino Ward instance, All for One was only focusing on All Might instead of Deku, even though he was also present. During the Paranormal Liberation War arc, All for One expressed a similar hesitation to attack Deku and his friends, when they were in danger.

If All for One is actually Midoriya’s father, that would explain why he has this tendency to hold back on him. This could lead All for One, while hidden and unacknowledged, to be hesitant to attack his own son. All for One also has a desire to control Deku, which could be a problem if he is injured. By staying away from Midoriya’s friends, this could potentially mean a way for All for One to make his son focus on himself rather than personal losses.

1 Midoriya and All for One have similar thinking abilities

They both have similar analytical skills.

Yaoyorozu and Midoriya look sympathetically at Todoroki (off-screen) after the provisional licensing exam.

Izuku and All for One share a key common trait, namely their analytical thinking skills. Midoriya always takes note of every hero he meets to be aware of their quirks and further improve his skills. He also has analytical abilities for both the smallest and biggest things that happen around him. Midoriya has shown his high level of intelligence and combat awareness, which are quite similar to All for One, leading to the theory that genes may have played a role here.

As for All for One, he is three steps ahead of the others and also possesses a great analytical ability. He plans his actions carefully and can manipulate the other heroes. All for One also has a deep knowledge of Quirks and how to use them against the heroes. The fact that Izuku and All for One possess similar personality traits raises questions about whether their genes are identical.
