The game of slaughter has very complicated rules.
It is officially recognized as the worst act of jujutsu terrorism in history.
Kenjaku has very dark motives behind starting the Culling game, and he is able to disguise his true intentions for the games by enacting a long list of very complicated rules. The original rules of the game make it appear to be a cruel arena full of blood, but Kenjaku also allows players to negotiate and add additional rules to complicate things even further.Breaking a rule, however, falls into the category of non-negotiable things.
The original rules of the showdown game:
- After awakening a cursed technique, wizards must announce their intention to participate within a pre-chosen barrier within 19 days.
- Players who fail to follow the first rule are punished by having their cursed technique removed.
- Non-players who cross the barriers are considered players upon entry and are assumed to have announced their intention to participate.
- Players earn points by killing other participants.
- The game master determines the players’ point value. In general, wizards and cursed spirits count for 5 points, while killing a non-wizard only earns 1 point.
- Players may spend 100 points, not including their own values, to negotiate new rules with the game master. Rules can only be added, not subtracted.
- The Game Master will accept new rules unless they have a lasting impact on the game.
- A player whose score does not change for 19 days will be punished by having the cursed technique removed.
Taking advantage of the fact that players can add new rules to the game, the wizards of Jujutsu High must work together across their various colonies to stop the bloodshed and end the games. The new rules come at a price, and many battles are still played out in the end. Some of these new rules include the ability to transfer points and leave the game by spending a hundred points, as well as bringing in a replacement player. There are also barrier rules in place, presumably controlled by Kogane, the Shikigami interface, between each player and the Culling Game.
The Slaughter game is full of intense battles
These death games seem endless at first glance.
