Prime Video’s long-awaited live-action Spider-Noir series brings in actor Abraham Popoola, known for his roles in Morbius and Andor

Popoola joins a cast that already includes Nicolas Cage, who will play Ben Reilly, the Depression-era Spider-Man. They will also be joined by Li Jun Li as Yuriko Watanabe, Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, and Brendan Gleeson in an as-yet-undisclosed role, though speculation has it that he could be Silvermane.

A World War I veteran with a dark secret

While there is no official confirmation about the character of Popoola, Expiration revealed that he will play “a World War I veteran looking for an opportunity to thrive.” Insider Daniel Richtman suggested that this character could be Flint Marko, the alter ego of Sandman. According to a recent character analysis, Sandman will be portrayed as “a hired thug who works for Yuri, but who suffers from an unknown condition that turns him into sand. When he changes identities, he has no memory of what his alter ego did.”
