Featured cards from the “Hare Farm” deck.
Besides the deck commander, one of the most important cards in this deck is “Finneas, accurate archer”. He’s a rabbit with vigilance and reach for turn 2. For a plains and a forest, the colors of the deck, and with 2 attack and defense he’s the perfect character for this deck. Whenever Finneas attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on each rabbit token or creature you control. And it’s a deck of chips and rabbits. Then, if the creatures you control have a total power of 10 or more, you draw a card.
And how do we make those creatures have more than 10 attacks? With enchantments and auras, of which this deck has quite a few. Among them, the most notable is “Colossification”, which makes both a wildcat and an angry rabbit giant. This is an aura that when it enters, the enchanted creature transforms. That creature gets +20/+20. If you have to overwhelm, victory is almost assured. In green, it is easy to make a creature trample or deal direct damage with its power to other creatures.
Featured cards from the “Otter Game” deck.
Besides the deck commander, one of the most important cards in this deck is another otter in the deck. It is a haunted otter, “Alania, Divergent Storm“, reminiscent of a mighty walker. Whenever you cast a spell, if it’s the first instant, sorcery, or Otter spell other than Alania you cast this turn, you may make a card target opponent. If you do, copy that enchantment. You may choose new targets for the copy.
A creature that plays for 3 mana of any color, one blue and one red, with 3 attack and 5 defense. Useful for copying enchantments and activating combos.
Like any deck with blue, flying creatures are necessary. “We are twisted” is a bird that can enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield with the same or lesser mana value used to cast it, except that it is a bird and can fly. Copying powerful otters and making them fly is the most logical function in this deck.
Its mana cost is X plus an island, allowing it to be used in the most appropriate way each turn.
In short, two decks that give players who are re-entering Magic: The Gathering the chance to have some fun decks to try out the new edition and improve it with game and collector packs.
