Penguin, an HBO original production, isn’t the only project Dune: The Prophecy has joined the list.
After it was announced that the Harry Potter series, the prequels, and DC Studios’ franchises would be moving from Max to HBO, two other shows were also announced as part of those original HBO productions.
Penguin and Dune: The Prophecy is no longer Max
Although The Penguins and Dune: The Prophecy will continue to air on Max, they now carry the HBO Originals brand on the cable network, such as House of Dragons and The Last of Us.
HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloys shared the news with a statement.
“Finally, we’ve got shows of this scope and scale that look great, with the fantastic stories and talent we’ve worked on. The idea of restriction began to seem unnecessary. Why are we doing this? Let’s call them what they are: HBO shows.
Both The Penguin and Dune: The Prophecy premiere on HBO this fall. Additionally, The Batman spin-off was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con.
