Guy Ritchie embarks on a new adventure in a series about a young Sherlock Holmes for Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video has given the green light to a series starring Robert Downey Jr. based on the Andy Lane novels about a young Sherlock Holmes, developed and produced by Guy Ritchie, best known for his Sherlock Holmes films.
A Sherlock Holmes has never been seen before
The famous director Guy Ritchie decided to return to the world of Sherlock Holmes, but this time focusing on the first adventures. The “Young Sherlock Holmes” series features hero Fiennes Tiffin in the role of the young detective. Tiffin is known for his role in the saga “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”, “The Lady King” and “After” in the recent “Ministry of the War of the Abyss” with Richie.
The series promises to be an action-packed origin story about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective. At the age of 19, Sherlock Holmes is humiliated, unrefined and unrepentant when he enters Oxford University in a murder mystery that threatens his freedom. In the first issue, Sherlock manages to unravel a global conspiracy that changes his life forever through a terrible lack of discipline.

The series will be written by “Deep State” showrunner Matthew Parkhill and executive produced by Richie & Lane.
