There’s still a chance we’ll see Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Apparently, the folks at Disney are still trying to get Johnny Depp on board for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has grossed an estimated $4.5 billion at the box office, and producers involved with Disney films know that subsequent projects won’t have the same impact without Jack Sparrow.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed that there’s still a chance that Depp will return, which he said after being asked if he would appear again in the saga.

“If only it were up to me. “I love meeting Depp … he’s a great actor and a great friend … I definitely talked to him, but we’ll see what happens.”

Bruckheimer’s words indicate that Disney really wants Depp back, but the producer says we’ll have to wait and see what the actor decides.
