We’ll show you all the content of TseuQuest, formerly known as Heroquest 25 Anniversary, along with the cards and tokens in the Level 3 version.
A few days ago we received a copy of the TseuQuest board game, a project born in 2014 in the Lanzanos forum and an odyssey for customers (you can read more about it in this first article). Gradually reaching the first buyers and taking into account the concern of many who want to see what they will receive after 10 years, we decided to show everything in detail in step 3.
For those who don’t know, TseuQuest Tier 3 (changed from Heroquest 25 due to copyright with Hasbro and renamed “Quest”) during the campaign was the highest option customers could choose from. The original price 10 years ago was 110 euros plus shipping, although today the reduced version (it will be level 1) is listed in stores for 134 euros and you can buy it by looking at the 3 extras to expand it, the current price on the GameZone page is more than 300 euros.
In this article, we will show in detail all the contents of the printed items (cards and symbols) included in this TseuQuest box, which is stamped with “TQT Founder” printed on the cover. In the previous article we showed the reverse board and the three parts that can be placed on it, and in the next we will show all the details in detail.
In the image above, you can see everything included in Level 1 (Basic), which will be released to stores, while Level 3 will include: an additional set of 15 heroes, Adventure Book Volume II “The Secret Books of Sand” (not yet available to customers), 3 double-sided boards Pieces and 99 cards.
Also included are 25 plastic resin miniatures, plastic resin Great Worm, 30 plastic resin figures and 4 plastic resin markers.
TseuQuest: Precious Cards, Weapons and Artifacts
The first deck of cards is divided between 11 artifact cards (more than the basic version 1) with a blue background, and we find weapons, magic rings, amulets and various items. In the photo, the sarcophagus shows that the card on the back is the sickle of the “sentence of destruction” shown in the last part of this article.
The next set of cards we’re going to show you is the treasure behind a locked locker. 38 cards with a brown background, among them are traps, gold and potions. While there were 30 cards in Level 1, here the stack is increased by 8.
This is followed by equipment cards showing a shield with swords and arrows on the back. This set consists of 16 cards, similar to the basic level, brown in color and not visible in the photo is the “War Hammer” on the back. As you can see, here we have weapons, shields and defenses for our heroes.
TseuQuest: Chaos Spells, Doom Cards and Monstruopedia
In the second block, the cards of the Dark Lord are divided into groups, the character from the shadows tries to make life impossible for the heroes. The master of this game has two types of cards for this purpose. On the one hand, the Monstrupedia, which are 15 reference cards with monstrous creatures you can summon or place in each room. The back is brown with a metallic symbol and the front is a dark card with the image of each creature and its attributes. The card that is not visible in the photo, although it appears later, is the “Goblin”.
On the other hand, there are Chaos and Primordial spells, the latter of which will be used against some of the enemies that appear in Volume 2 (not yet available to customers, although it is expected to arrive in stores before the end of the year). Their first objective is to spread terror among the heroes with 6 cards, and the second is 8 spells that try to weaken the heroes’ psyche. The two cards not shown in the photo are: Summon Paladin (Spells of Chaos) and Brainstorm below (Primordial Chaos Spells).
Similarly, following the options that the Dark Lord has to use in Volume 2, there are 20 Doom cards, 10 of which are blank, for each player to personalize as they wish.
TseuQuest: Heroes and Primary Spell Cards
Heroes have 52 spell cards divided into four types. In turn, these will each be grouped into Volume I and Volume II. In this way, there are 14 cards for the Air (AER) and Fire (IGNIS) groups, and 12 cards for the Earth (TERRA) and Water (AQUA). The first two blocks have 6 cards used in Volume I and 8 cards planned for Volume II (marked above); And the other two with 6 and 6. The spells not visible in the photo are “Balance”, from Volume II, of which there are two copies per group.
In return, there are 12 primary cards against the Dark Lord for Volume II. The back is black with a magic symbol associated with the color of the team. The four not seen in the photo are: “Becoming Water”, “Poison Vapor”, “Incandescence” and “Earthquake”.
TseuQuest: Reference and missing letters
Below we show you four copies of each reference card for Heroes: Movement Errors / Temporary Movement Advantages; Shares / Special Shares; Projectile Bots in Defense / Projectile Bots in Attack, and Defensive Bots / Offensive Bots.
Finally, in this section, we’ve divided the cards we used to show the back into different sections, so that we can’t see them, even if we’ve already indicated which ones they are.
TseuQuest: Dark Lord screen and enemy tokens
The Masters screen has changed its design compared to what was shown during the campaign, although this is mostly the case when working with prototypes. In the lower central part there is a hole for throwing the dice, although it seems very small, and it is disturbing for this purpose. At the back, a player acting as a master has all the necessary references to guide the game.
As for the enemies, a large size sheet of 14 enemies is included, on both sides you will find their details and characteristics. Additionally, you can see 66 dials that act as life and magic counters, and 81 heart symbols on the panels with the power behind them. Blank symbols for hero and enemy are also included for customization.
TseuQuest: hero simulations
Finally, among the plates we have 16 more heroes, as well as 3 special symbols of the two brave youths and the magician Azarkiel, and 8 veteran heroes. In total, we’ve selected 27 characters who are worthy of entering a dungeon with the forces of evil. They all have an opening at the bottom to add the two dials as shown in the last photo.
As for the rules and the Volume I campaign, you can download PDFs of both in the Telegram groups dedicated to Heroquest. We advise you to keep an eye on La Casa de El because we will soon reveal all the fine details that make up this lot and we have already shown it in general in our previous article.
