The new Superman shows what we can expect from James Gunn’s reboot

Actor David Cornswaite, who plays James Gunn’s Superman, has finally spoken about the first DCU movie.

What comic will the James Gunn movie be based on?

Direct Media’s David Thompson attended an event related to Corenswet’s latest project, where he took the opportunity to ask the actor what comics inspired Gunn’s new film. The actor was clear in his response: “The feel of the new film is based on Four All Seasons and All-Stars, but the story is ‘its own’.”

The two comics mentioned are Superman for All Seasons by Jeph Loeb and All-Stars by Grant Morrison. Although Gunn confirmed that he took Morrison’s comic as a reference for writing the DC Studios project, it’s good to know that the original plan is moving forward.
