After various problems, Masters of the Universe reboot finally receives a positive update

Over the years, attempts have been made to bring Masters of the Universe to the big screen, but the reboot has never been successful. For a while, Warner Bros. had the rights to these characters and tried to make a He-Man and Friends movie, although the studio gave up. The franchise then passed through Sony and Netflix, and attempts to move the project forward with them also failed. Now, the film is under Amazon/MGM, and this time we obviously have good news about the reboot.

The Masters of the Universe project is still alive.

According to Deadline , the He-Man movie will be close to finding a director, and the chosen one is none other than Travis Knight, best known for his work on Bumblebee. If Knight ends up helming the film, he will work on a script from Chris Butler.

Masters of the Universe already has a live action movie that was released in 1987 and starred Dolph Lundgren. However, this version of the character did not receive support from fans and was heavily criticized.
