The first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, the next MCU movie, has finally been released
Deadpool & Wolverine finally has its first trailer, and in it, we are presented with various references related to the Marvel Universe in general. Below, we’ll share some of the trailer’s most striking points, as well as some hints in case you missed it.
Wade Wilson’s friends are back
The trailer for the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins with Wade’s birthday, where the hero is seen accompanied by Vanessa and her X-Force team. The specifics of this scene are that both Mar and his fellow adventurers die in Deadpool 2. So, the trailer confirms that Wade played in time to get them back. The intervention of the temporal variation authority (AVT).
The first Merc with a mouth film Ref
At one point Deadpool is shown surrounded by AVT agents, and our dear Wade can think of nothing but to raise his hand and tell everyone to wait. Apparently, that scene is a reference to what was seen in the first movie when he was on the road.
Deadpool has a chance to become the superhero of the MCU.
The UCM references can’t be missed in this trailer, because now Wade will be a part of that universe. AVT and Agent Paradox (Matthew Mafadyen) want to give Deadpool a chance to be a hero, and we’ll be seeing him in various Marvel Studios projects with trailers, shows.
In the images you can see moments from Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The emptiness of the end of time
The part of the images that first appeared in Loki Season 1 probably took place in The Void at the end of time. In fact, one of SHIELD’s Helicarriers shows up there.
Deadpool & Wolverine tell us that Secret Wars is coming.
The trailer ends on a cliffhanger as Hugh Jackman looks to fight Logan Waid, however, before that moment, the trailer leaves us with a nod to the comics. Next to Dirty with a Mouth you can see one of the 2015 Secret Wars crossover covers, this one is related to #5 of the series and stars Doctor Doom. Marvel has long made it clear that its most inspired projects are building The Multiverse Saga.
The villain of the film
In one of the shots you can see a bald man, this is none other than Cassandra Nova. The trailer also introduces a group of villains who could have taken over The Void, among them Pyro, the mutants who appeared in Fox’s original X-Men trilogy. There is a possibility that Nova is the leader of that group of villains.
Fox logo
In the trailer, AVT is seen asking for Agent Deadpool’s help, but unfortunately, he is captured by the Shadows. The defaced 20th Century Fox logo is also visible, so the void of where these events took place again comes to mind. As for the shade, this can come from Alio. Let’s remember that Eliot eats up all the sliced differences he finds.
