Like all previous episodes, Zoom 100: The Dead Bucket List will be released simultaneously on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu. Although the series was initially discontinued, it was recently announced that Zoom 100 will release all remaining episodes in a Christmas marathon. When that happens, Zoom 100 episodes #10-#12 will presumably follow the same release schedule as the previous episodes and air at 2:00 AM Pacific Time (PST) and 5:00 AM Eastern (EST) in the United States and 10:00 AM GMT. What happened in Zoom 100: Dead Bucket List Episode 9?
In Zoom 100: The Bucket List of the Dead Episode 9 “Tree of the Dead”, Akira and his friends finally arrive at Akira’s village and find the entrance closed to keep the zombies out. The group was forced to leave. Masaru encounters Kumano while building a treehouse to escape zombie pigs through the desert, and Akira gets everyone to help him cross another item off his bucket list. In doing so, Akira learns that Kumano was forced to kill his son after he became a zombie, and his grief strengthens Akira’s feelings that he must do something to repay his parents.
After finally reaching the village, Akira reunites with his parents and tries to help them by taking care of their work. However, none of them found it too stressful to continue working in their old age; So Akira was confused as to how he could pay them enough. During all this, Kanta Higurashi, a survivor from Tokyo, approaches his own survivors, hoping to release the zombies into the village.
Zoom 100: The New Villa of the Dead is the opposite of Akira’s bucket list.
Not much has been revealed about Zoom 100: Dead’s new villain bucket list, but it’s easy to see Kantan as someone who should be Akira’s opposite. Both Akira and Kanta have found freedom in the zombie apocalypse, and both have bucket lists of what they want to do before they become zombies. But while Akira just wants to have fun, Kanta wants to defy the world, especially with the view that he’s an outcast from society. The two should clearly be foils and it will be interesting to see how they interact after Zoom 100: The Dead Bucket List returns this Christmas.
