Dr. Wheelo combines his brilliant brain with a powerful mecha body
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 2, World’s Strongest
Dr. Wheelo’s case is unique in that he is a brilliant scientist, not a fighter. Because of this, he uses his vast intellect and his intelligent assistant, Dr. Kochin, to bring him back into a giant robotic body as he searches for the strongest fighter to become his brain’s new home.
It’s very cool to see Goku face a giant mecha opponent who almost destroys the Earth with his final attack. Goku relies on Kaio-Ken and the Spirit Bomb to put Dr. Wheelo out of commission. Dragon Ball ZThe characters are considerably weaker during this period of the anime, so Dr. Wheelo’s strength and ambitions put him in a league of his own.

Lord Slug is an evil Namekian who attempts to freeze the Earth
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 4, Lord Slug
Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug is one of the least popular films in the franchise. Lord Slug definitely suffers in terms of tone, action and storytelling, none of which is helped by the fact that it’s sandwiched between two much stronger films, The tree of power And Revenge of the Cooler. That being said, a Namekian villain is a rare and exciting change of pace for Dragon Ball Z. Lord Slug shares a lot in common with Demon King Piccolo, right down to the fact that they both use the Dragon Balls to restore their youth and achieve peak power.

Dragon Ball DAIMA finally gave Goku’s electric pole the love it deserves
Goku from Dragon Ball DAIMA was smart enough to grab his Power Pole after being transformed into a child – and the results were nothing short of brilliant.
Lord Slug takes advantage of the Namekians’ Super Giant-Form ability, which nearly defeats Goku before the heroes exploit Slug’s sensitivity to high-pitched noises. Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug is an important film for the franchise as it marks the first appearance of Super Saiyan Goku, albeit here as Pseudo Super Saiyan. Goku uses this burst of increased strength and speed to defeat the evil Namekian and eliminate him in a manner intentionally reminiscent of the demise of King Piccolo.

Turles is a sinister Saiyan who draws awesome power from the fruit of the Tree of Might
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 3, The Tree of Might
The tree of powerTurles is a particularly curious case because this lower-class Saiyan also bears a striking resemblance to Goku. The tree of power embraces its double evil angle as Goku faces Turles and the rest of the Z-Fighters take on the Saiyan’s versatile Turles Crusher Corps. Goku’s Kaio-Ken is enough to take out Turles’ underlings, while he has more trouble against his Saiyan counterpart.
Turles already possesses commendable strength as a Saiyan, but the Tree of Might is an invasive plant that sucks a planet’s energy and channels it into a powerful fruit. Turles feeds on the fruits of the Tree of Might and transforms into an even more intimidating threat. Goku narrowly survives when his Spirit Bomb attack eliminates not only Turles, but also the Tree of Might, restoring the stolen energy to the planet.

Cooler is Frieza’s older and stronger brother, determined to prove himself
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 5, Cooler’s Revenge
Frieza is one of Dragon Ball Z‘s most infamous villains and even found a way to sneak in Dragon Ball Super with stronger transformations. DBZ briefly introduces Frieza’s father, King Cold, while Revenge of the Cooler And The return of the cooler focus on Frieza’s stronger brother, Cooler. Cooler arrives on Earth with a vicious vendetta that, surprisingly, has nothing to do with getting justice for a deceased family member.
In fact, Cooler resents Frieza and is even more upset that Goku was the one who killed him, rather than himself. Cooler and his armored squadron push Goku out of his comfort zone and even a Super Saiyan transformation isn’t enough to conquer Cooler’s fifth form. It’s an intense clash that turns into an even bigger challenge The return of the coolerwhich sees a full army of Meta-Cooler minions fighting against Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta.

Super Android 13 is the final bet of three exceptional soldiers
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 7, Super Android 13!
Evil androids have been a source of concern from the original Dragon Ball. The Cell Saga features androids 16-20, while Great Android 13! fills in the gaps with Androids 13, 14, and 15. These three androids are all strong enough to temporarily take on Super Saiyan Future Trunks, Vegeta, and Goku. The destruction of Androids 14 and 15 causes Android 13 to absorb their microchips and evolve into Super Android 13. The power of the merged Android dwarfs the collective efforts of the Super Saiyan trio.

Every time a Saiyan transforms into a Great Ape in Dragon Ball, DBZ, GT and Super
The Great Ape form is a vital trait of the Saiyan race, giving them a monstrous werewolf transformation. Here is the full list of each transformation.
Goku hasn’t unlocked Super Saiyan 2 yet, so he ends up defeating Super Android 13 by creatively combining his Spirit Bomb and Super Saiyan transformation. Goku attempts to summon a Spirit Bomb while he is a Super Saiyan, which triggers an adverse reaction that causes Goku to absorb the energy from the attack, rather than releasing it as a projectile. Spirit Bomb Super Saiyan Goku enters a sort of fugue state where he accesses enough primal rage to defeat Super Android 13.

Space pirate Bojack goes blow for blow against Super Saiyan 2 Gohan
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 9, Unrelated Bojack
Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound is an exciting change of pace for the franchise that tells a story that takes place after the Cell Games but before moving on to the Buu Saga. That means Gohan must do the heavy lifting when the fun intergalactic world tournament is interrupted by Bojack and his powerful Galaxy Soldiers. Bojack and his team are members of the Hera clan, physically strong and equipped with intimidating energy attacks, including their restrictive Psycho Threads.
Bojack does not fight against Super Saiyan Second Grade Future Trunks, Vegeta and Piccolo. His transformation into Full Power Bojack is even a decent challenge for Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. This probably means that Full Power Bojack is at least as powerful as Super Perfect Cell. Bojack presents such a feared threat that he had to be locked up beforehand by the four Kais, which is no small feat.
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 13, Wrath of the Dragon
One of the most interesting elements of Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon is that it resembles the story of Tapion and the rest of Dragon BallThe heroes have just invaded his story. Tapion is one of the strongest warriors on the planet Konats and is proud to be awarded the title of “Legendary Hero”, which is a testament to his exceptional sword fighting abilities, powerful energy attacks and knowledge sealing spells and other beneficial techniques. His performance in The dragon’s wrath indicates that Tapion has strength comparable to a Super Saiyan 2 fighter.
Freeing Hirudegarn could put Earth in danger, but his eternal imprisonment is something Tapion has spent years working on. It’s ultimately Goku who defeats Hirudegarn, but Tapion still provides vital information. It does not return in any canon Dragon Ball stories, but Super Dragon Ball Heroes shows his power in the Super Space-Time tournament and he has become a vital player in Dragon Ball video games, such as Xenoverse 2. The Dragon Ball video games even indicate that Tapion becomes strong enough to defeat Future Hirudegarn from Future Trunks’ timeline.

Bio-Broly is a cloned monstrosity that matches the legendary Super Saiyan’s peak power
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 11, Bio-Broly
Broly is such a popular villain that he was the star of two separate films. Dragon Ball Z movies before Dragon Ball Super: Broly correctly canonized him. Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan And Broly – Second Coming both feature the legendary Super Saiyan. Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly technically presents an original character, albeit one constructed from Broly’s DNA. Bio-Broly is created by Dr. Collie and Nain, who decided to unleash a whole horde of genetic mutations and Bio-Warriors on the world.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 8 confirms that Mini-Goku is much stronger than Tamagami
Goku’s small stature does not prevent him from easily defeating Tamagami 3 in Dragon Ball DAIMA episode 8.
Each Dragon Ball Z The movie attempts to have a stronger villain, meaning Bio-Broly is at least as strong as Broly from Second Comingwho was strong enough to take on Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. Bio-Broly wages war against Android 18, Krillin and Super Saiyan Goten and Trunks. He is ultimately defeated when the heroes realize that these Bio-Warriors have a natural weakness to seawater, which solidifies Bio-Broly and makes him vulnerable to destruction. This weakness is a major drawback, but it’s also important to be aware of the fact that Bio-Broly is not fully trained and fails to reach his peak power in the film.
2
Hirudegarn is a KaijuPhantom Majin who wreaks havoc in West City
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 13, Wrath of the Dragon
Each Dragon Ball Z The film strives to build a stronger and scarier final villain so that the film’s climax surpasses that of its predecessors. Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon was the 13th and final film before Battle of the Godsand goes bankrupt with its kaiju-sized villain. Hirudegarn is a Phantom Majin demon god who embodies pure rage and destruction. An evil sorcerer, Hoi, activates Hirudegarn to destroy all inhabitants of the universe who are not Kashvars.
Hirudegarn is extremely powerful, but he also benefits from an advantageous ability that knocks him out of his physical form, so most attacks simply pass through him. Goku eventually gains the upper hand when his Super Saiyan 3 Dragon Fist attack is able to actually connect – and destroy – his target. Hirudegarn’s final form is stronger than Super Saiyan Vegeta, Ultimate Gohan, and Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, but Super Saiyan 3 Goku proves enough to defeat this threat.

Super Janemba could only be defeated by Gogeta
Dragon Ball Z, Movie 12, Fusion Reborn
Janemba is the synthesis of infinite unpurified souls coming together and becoming a rogue demon who is the living embodiment of evil. Janemba goes on a rampage in the Other World during the events of Fusion rebornand requires serious intervention to be dismantled. Janemba benefits from interdimensional abilities that allow him to traverse reality and gradually enter and exit combat. Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Pikkon, and Vegeta are all inferior to Janemba’s abilities, especially after he transformed into Super Janemba and became even stronger. Super Janemba poses such a serious threat that it prompts Goku and Vegeta to turn to the Metamoran fusion dance in order to pool their strengths and skills. Super Saiyan Gogeta completely overwhelms Super Janemba and eradicates this vengeful villain.
Oddly enough, Janemba is the strongest Dragon Ball Z villain of the film alone, even if Hirudegarn pursues him. Super Janemba was stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku, while this transformation is enough to take out Hirudegarn. Goku doesn’t need to turn to fusion to defeat Hirudegarn, but it is essential in the battle against Janemba. It’s unclear if Goku’s Dragon Fist technique would even be enough to defeat Super Janemba, given his dimensional rift powers. This also means that Gogeta is the strongest character to appear in any movie. Dragon Ball Z film, but his later appearance in Dragon Ball GT And Dragon Ball Super means that he is no longer a character reserved for the cinema.
